The basis of Cornerstone Communications’ proven methods was developed in late 1989 under the ownership of an IBM Business Partner. Because of a shift in the market place, that corporation stripped its allocated resources away from the product line, effectively abandoning its customer base. This opened the door for, the then product manager, Kevin Calhoun to purchase the product line and customer base. Once joined by the product’s author, Bob Crothers, this culminated in the creation of Cornerstone Communications in 1997.
The series of events prior to and since the creation of Cornerstone Communications can be best articulated by the bible verse, Matthew 21:42. Jesus said to them, “Did you never read in the Scriptures, ‘The Stone which the builders rejected, this became the chief Cornerstone; this came about from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’”. This verse is in reference to the life of Jesus, but reflects the beginning and life of Cornerstone Communications as well.
